Dance Competition Categories:
Category #1: Introduction/Walkthru
In this category, you can proudly display your team's style and grace along the perimeter of the floor. Please remember that entering the center of the floor is not permitted at any time. Let's showcase your team spirit with confidence! No props
Category #2: Creative
Show your team's creative talents with a Royal Themed routine, be sure that your music selections, costumes, and/or props align with your theme.
The best creatives tell a story.
Category #3: Solo
Every team has a phenomenal dancer who embodies MAJORETTE ROYALTY, and we can't wait to see them shine! They have a full two minutes to showcase their skills and impress the judges. It's all about friendly competition—Queens vs. Queens and Kings vs. Kings. Teams may enter (1) female and/or (1) male dancer into this category, and can be a mini, junior, or senior. Choose the best of them all, as they represent the whole team. Feel free to use props to enhance the performance, but remember, it's solo time to truly showcase individual talent and creativity, so no other dancers are allowed on the floor.
Category #4: Stand Battle
Mini Rounds: (1) Fast and (1) Medium
Jr./Sr Combined Rounds: (1) Fast, (1) Medium, (1) Slow
Time Limit: 1 minute 30 seconds (MAX), 2 minutes for slow
In this category, teams showcase their best dancers in a head-to-head battle. It's important to ensure that dancers do not cross the line -- and that includes their uniform items, hair pieces, etc. -- and that the allotted time limits are not exceeded.
Failure to adhere to these rules will result in disqualification from the battle.
Coaches are responsible for placing their dancers in the age-appropriate stand battle group or they may be disqualified.
Stand Battle music will be provided after upon registration.
