What IS Divine Majorettes University?
What do we do here?
The amazing Divine Majorettes represent Divine Inspirations Center for the Arts — a vibrant performing arts program located in Prince William County where girls ages 6 to 17 grow, shine, and build confidence through dance and cultural experiences.
Now in our 11th season, Divine recently launched Divine Majorettes University — a dynamic program blending majorette training with fitness, technique, and styles from multiple dance genres. It's designed for dancers of all levels, from beginners to advanced, and offers exciting competition and performance opportunities, such as local Black History Month appearances and participating in the annual Macy's Holiday Window Reveal!
The team is also known for its over the top "Divine Experiences", which is simply adding an extra layer of pizzaz to all performances and showcases in order to make it unforgettable for all.
Setting the World on Fire!!
To ensure students are learning and advancing at the levels they should, each is evaluated and placed in classes at their skill-level with the goal of Mastering Blaze.
Levels include: Sparks, Embers, Flames, and Blaze.
What is the Symbolism?
Spark & Ember

An Ember is small but potent, the result of a fire that has been sparked.

Symbolizes potential, dedication, and early stages of learning.

It requires care, focus, and persistence to keep it alive just like the skills of development.
Flame:

The transition from ember to flame implies effort, time, and patience.

Mastery isn't spontaneous. It is a result of steady fuel, airflow, and attention; just like building real-world skills.

Blaze:

A blaze is active, visible, and powerful.

It represents confidence, refinement, and command of a skill.

A blaze can be chaotic. By its controlled energy, symbolizing intentional, disciplined growth.
SPECIALITY TEAMS
At DICA, we are proud to introduce the Divine Ambassadors & Elite Competition Teams, which are the top-notch dance teams at our school. Our talented dancers have made appearances on the news, won numerous awards, and showcased their skills on various stages in the PWC and surrounding areas!
Divine Ambassadors
Divine Ambassadors serve as the stars of the show, representing DICA in both local and national performances. This team is open to students aged 7 to 17, at the Flame or Blaze Levels. There is no audition requirement, however Ambassaors must be in good standing with the team.
Divine Majorette Competition Team
Divine Majorettes Elite Competition Team is the top Majorette Competition Team in the DMV area. Our team is known for our style, grace, and creativity, and we've won numerous awards. We're recognized in the majorette community as the team to beat in the Creative category. The Competition Team members participate in field show routines, walkthroughs, and other competitive performances. This requires a higher level of commitment, attendance, and accountability, and all invited dancers will still go through cuts before competitions.
The competition team is joined via audition and/or coaches invite only. The team requires rigorous training hours and financial commitments for uniforms, performance fees, and travel costs.
Practices are held a min. of twice of week along with Saturdays. Practice hours increase significantly during competition season (Jan-May).
Divine Majorettes Stand Battle Team
The exclusive Divine Majorettes Stand Battle Team is joined via audition and/or coaches invite and members train to participate in both hip-hop style and HBCU-style stand battles.

Need Help Enrolling? Here's What to Do!
1. Visit the Parent Portal: Just click "Enroll" or visit http://www.dancestudio-pro.com/online/dica 2. Add Your Student: Click on “Students” and then “Add a Student.” Search for your student’s name and fill out the requested information. 3. Activate Automatic Payments: Head over to Pay > Auto Pay to add a card for the registration fee. (Just a reminder: tuition is deducted on the 1st of each month, but you can also choose to pay manually.) 4. Register for Classes: Go to Register > Register for Classes. You’ll see the options available for your student. Select the following: - Majorette University: Ages 7-17 (all levels) If you don’t see classes listed, just send us an email at mailto:info@sodivineinc.org, and we’ll help you out! 5. Pay Fees: Complete your registration fee and tuition payment. 6. Policies & Forms: Please review and sign any necessary forms. 7. Confirmation: Keep an eye on your email for your enrollment confirmation and a warm welcome message!
